Many of these high capacity load cells are not commonly stocked except 200k-300k capacities. We typically stock our ISO 376 load cells for higher capacity.
Morehouse High Capacity Load Cells (Multi-Column Type) are suitable for companies that make field measurements in accordance with ASTM E4 and ISO 7500 as reference standards where portability is preferred. These strain gauge-based cells offer less creep and better zero returns than single-column load cells. Their lower uncertainties allow for fewer standards to maintain.
To generate a field calibration system, High-Capacity Load Cells (Multi-Column Type) can be combined with Morehouse Precision Load Cells to make a full-range kit. For example, to produce a 600,000 lbf kit, a 600,000 lbf High-Capacity Multi-Column Load Cell can be combined with a 50,000 lbf and a 1,000 lbf Morehouse Precision Load Cell to cover the 40 to 600,000 lbf. Fewer standards to maintain will significantly lower lifetime ownership costs.
