How to Order a Custom Load Cell with Morehouse
This guide walks you through every stage of ordering a custom load cell from Morehouse Instrument Company, from determining whether a custom cell is the right choice to submitting your specifications and receiving a calibrated system. A custom cell makes sense when standard catalog cells cannot meet your geometry, capacity, axis configuration, or environmental requirements, and contrary to common assumptions, it is not necessarily more expensive or less reliable than adapting a standard cell with costly fixtures. The eight-step ordering process runs from initial inquiry through requirements capture, design and analysis, drawing approval, manufacture, system-level calibration, delivery, and ongoing recalibration support.
